At Newport Lakes, our STEM Specialist supports students to develop curiosity, creativity and confidence in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Through hands-on investigations and problem-solving tasks, students are encouraged to ask questions, test ideas and think like scientists and engineers. Lessons are engaging, practical and designed to build strong foundations in scientific thinking and digital skills.
 
 
Students explore a wide range of STEM topics throughout the year, including coding and robotics, designing and creating digital 3D models before bringing them to life through 3D printing, chemical experiments, physical and biological sciences, engineering design challenges, and creating electrical circuits. These experiences allow students to investigate real-world problems while developing practical skills and a deeper understanding of how STEM shapes our everyday lives.
