In Year 2 at NLPS, we set high expectations for our students and promote their self-management skills and growing independence. We want our students to be active learners in a safe, challenging and fun environment, with the aim for each child to look forward to coming to school to learn each day. We have a focus on developing strong literacy and numeracy skills, catering to each child’s different learning needs, in order to maximise their learning potential. We encourage students to become life-long learners, by promoting a growth mindset and developing strong learning habits, such as reflecting, questioning and setting goals.

At the end of Year 2, we hope that students will have developed as self-managers, communicators, collaborators and that they can think critically and creatively.
